bingo, fish n chips, and mantronix

Can you believe it?  Tomorrow Mantronix will be bringing their first european tour in 25 years to Great Yarmouth.  The only UK date.  A day on the beach, bingo in the afternoon and a spot of arcade action, haddock and chips for tea then over to the Tower Complex, Marine Parade for an unmissable night of Mantronix with DMC champs DJ X-Rated, Chad Jackson, and Roger Johnson.  Leader of Mantronix, Kurtis Mantronik was one of the pioneers of drum machine based hip hop, producing game-changing tracks for T La Rock and Just-Ice (argued as the start of Gangsta Rap), with his Roland 808.  Mantronik also produced Joyce Sims Come into My Life and All and Allwhich was the first song to feature 808 hi-hat triplets sequenced on a drum machine, and was the track bgirls 1daWoman and TrubLroC chose for their showcase at the UK Bboy Championships in 1999, alongside other Sinstar bgirls Kelfx, Caroline, Ionie and a 5 year old BarBgirl.  All roads lead to Great Yarmouth tomorrow, 8.00pm – 3.00am with a dress code of smart casual trainers.  Just the way we like it.
