Lockdown is providing SIN Cru with space to devise new ways to work in smaller spaces, across virtual spaces. Welcome to Participate Digital.
After a successful pilot, Participate Digital is now running in four week blocks each month via ZOOM. We are nearing the end of our October courses so now is the time to book on for November:

Breakin’ – an introductory course in the foundation of breakin’ covering basics of toprock, get downs, footwork, and freezes| 7yrs – adult, taught by James.
One course is £20 and can be booked on our payment page using Paypal. Purchasing one course entitles you to one month of your chosen style. You can purchase both styles – Cease and Settle, and Breakin’ at a discounted rate of £35 total.

We have had a steady commitment to our education work since day dot. Through a holistic approach to creative learning, we believe that everyone from 0 – infinity, should be given the opportunity to establish a solid foundation of knowledge and skill.
All SIN Cru tutors are DBS checked, hold insurance cover, and adhere to our Child and Vulnerable Adults protection policy. SIN Cru workshops are structured with musical accompaniment, and where applicable are mixed specifically by celebrated DJs. All mix CDs are available to buy, and examples of lesson plans are obtainable upon request.
We can’t wait to work with you and offer an engaging range of outreach possibilities across music, dance and visual arts;
- performance based
on one offs, to short, or longer term projects.
To add staple to our healthy and ever expanding diet of outreach contracts, we also deliver Participate! our ongoing youth, community, and professional development programme. As an extension of Participate! in 2000, we launched SoHHA, nee CHHW. This is the ever popular, intensive festival of Hip Hop arts. A full timetable of masterclasses, workshops, and Hip Hop entertainments, all culminating with the Urban SINfonie evening of international dance battles. For more information on the SoHHA series, please check our dedicated blogspot .
To stretch and broaden individual potential, we have designed two Further Education strands;
- 1999 welcomed the birth of the JNR Sinstars. This hand-picked collection of dedicated young artists are provided with creative and technical advancement in a stable and encouraging environment, up to the age of 16yrs
- eOTo is a Youth Apprenticeship programme to enable young people between the ages of 16 – 26yrs old to gain experience of working in the creative industries, through administration and development of a specific arts practise.
