Here at SIN Cru HQ we are all very excited to be getting ready for our day trip to London to support fellow Sinstar, Twistar and his youth groups at the annual dance showcase.  Twistar teaches for Ealing Street Dance Academy, who are said to be the largest street and bboy school in London, and tomorrow their students from 3yrs to 18yrs take over The Questors Theatre with their latest mesmerising dance showcase, and a special guest appearance from Twistar (Sinstars/ Style First).  Three shows each with limited availability so be quick and click on the link for more info and tickets.

 

Congratulations to one of our Bboy Foundation students, Sam Hughes for his performance as Max the dog in Cambridge Youth Musical Theatre‘s production of Father Frost.  The show went up mid January at Cambridge Junction and received wonderful reviews, including one by Alex Wood who pointed out ‘[t]here is always a danger of an animal stealing the show and in this case Sam Hughes as Max, Alina’s beloved (singing, barking, breakdancing) dog, almost did just that.’  Brappppp!

Looking forward to fellow Jekkah artist, Natty coming to the Junction tonight with his band The Rebelship.  He is also supported by Sam Garret and Cali P, and will be playing tracks from his critically acclaimed second album, aptly-titled Release The Fear.  The concept album produced by Natty, is described as a Future-Roots or Cosmic-Reggae work of art. JNR Sinstar Szymonster has been hard at work in the lab choreographing his very first solo, A Guide to Being.  He will be performing it alongside a table, the other JNR Sinstars, and the Hip Hop Tots this Saturday at Energise.  Taking place at Swavesey Village College, Energise is the youth dance showcase for South Cambridgeshire. Featuring the best performers in ballet, street, contemporary, tap and more, this show will have something for everyone.  SIN Cru are proud to have been involved in the platform for several years now, and this weekend will be representing in the matinee only.  There is also an evening show with a different bill.  It is a wonderful celebration of local youth dance, so if you haven’t already got your tickets, click for box office asap.

Back once again is the other renegade master, Mark McGivern with a night of poetry and music this Sunday from 7.00pm at La Raza.  Amongst the splendid line-up, SIN Cru’s tag-team duo Hannah Word3Floyd and Lucy Roc will be performing around and into the microphone.  Hannah will be bringing Glamour and probs a sparkly cardi, Lucy will be bringing a hot water bottle, and some stories from Fly No Filter’s The Glorious Tour ahead of the forthcoming shows in Scotland.  Free entry!  hashtag bargainbuckets
