Join bboy Soopa Noodle with the crew’s twelve days of Christmas challenge. Over the twelve days of Christmas, we will be uploading a new tutorial to our YouTube account to give you some dance moves to learn.  Just like the Christmas carol, our challenge is cumulative so each day you will add something new to what you learnt the day before. Join SIN Cru fam DJ Mr Thing in the party basement with Soul ll Soul‘s Jazzie B at  The Doctor’s Orders new year celebration.  9.00pm – 5.00am at Secret East London Members Club.  The four floored venue has to be seen to be believed, if you can “imagine that Prince is throwing a party in Sherlock Holmes’ pad” you are on the right track.  In true Drs Orders styleee each room will be bursting with the best hip hop, soul, and party tunes ever.  Definately a strong option for seeing 2017 in.

Bboy Jakaroo’s dad is performing some of his new work in preparation for the album his band, Winter are about to start recording.  Hit the Portland in Cambridge tomorrow, Tuesday 20th December.  Winter will be on at 8.00pm, and if you can’t wait that long, check out their work The Biggest Truth online.

 

 

Khandel is in the desert region of Rajasthan, India which stretches 120 square miles, equivalent to the reach of the North Hertfordshire district around Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth, and Royston.  The communities who live in Khandel and surrounding villages have one of the poorest qualities of life in the world.  The Khandel Light charity was set up 16 years ago to improve the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged families living in the region.  If you would like to give something back this Christmas and feel like your joints need oiling, your muscles need a good stretch, your mind needs to calm, and your heart is ready to open, join Chanting Stork yoga for a wonderful winter evening session this Sunday, in aid of Khandel Light.  The session is free with a donations collection for the charity.  For more info, click on the links.

 

It’s December.  We are amidst a plethora of countdowns from Richard Whiteley and Carol Vorderman‘s classic tv dinner viewing, to advent, to a new year, and of course to Fly No Filter’s performance as part of Resolution 2017.  Only nine weeks to go and tickets have already gone on sale.  To get you all hyped about the forthcoming show, we are uploading a special tutorial each week, on our YouTube channel and Instagram.  Subscribe, follow, and join the paper party.

Thankyou to The Phoenix Centre for being such a wonderful and welcoming audience.  Yesterday Fly No Filter were very proud to present How to Build a Shelf as part of the Phoenix’s festive celebrations for the centre’s young people, their families, and staff.  Choreographed and performed by Sinstar Soopa Noodle, How to Build a Shelf is the opening work from The Glorious Tour.  More tour dates to be released for the new year – watch this space.  A very happy Christmas and brand new new year to everyone at the Phoenix, where the staff work tirelessly with the families to support the awe-inspiring young people who attend the centre’s range of programmes.

Beasts and beauties of all ages, beastliness is only skin deep…  We are all looking forward to our SIN Cru Christmas outing today to support Fly No Filter’s technical manager, Trui Malten at the Cambridge Junction.  Trui has been working with New International Encounter on the lighting design for their rustic re-telling of the French classic fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast.  Full of live music and magic, deep in the overgrown forest is a daring heroine and a beast with impeccable table manners.  Beauty and the Beast which tuns until runs until new year’s eve, is a festive treat about love, family and being the bravest of all.  Tickets are available from the box office.
